Setagaya Visit

On Monday, 5th November, we were happy to welcome students from Setagaya, our sister city in Japan, for a special day of learning and fun.

Our senior Djidi Djidi students taught the Setagaya visitors how to make damper, play traditional Noongar games, and do some crafts. They also showed their new friends around the school and played together in the playground.

The Setagaya students performed a traditional Japanese dance and sang Waltzing Matilda in both Japanese and English. In return, our school choir sang Kaadadjiny Moortditjabiny, a song in both English and Noongar, written by our students.

It was a wonderful day of sharing cultures, making new friends, and learning from each other. We look forward to more days like this!
